To unite the efforts of home and school and assist ninth-grade students in efficiently preparing for the 2026 high school entrance examination, the ninth-grade team of Shiyan No. 9 Middle School organized a teacher meeting and a parent meeting at the beginning of the school year in September 2025, especially through the parent meeting to comprehensively build a bridge for home-school collaborative exam preparation.
On September 11, the ninth-grade parent meeting was held in a "centralized + class-based" format. The centralized meeting took place on the sixth floor of the school's comprehensive building, focusing on the theme of "How to cooperate with the school to support students in the high school entrance examination." Principal Fang detailed the school's initiative to establish sports and arts specialty classes for the first time to expand students' development paths, encouraging diverse development and broadening pathways for further education. He emphasized that preparation for the high school entrance examination requires students to give their all for five days a week at school, but it also requires parents to pay attention to managing weekend time to achieve seamless coordination between home and school. Additionally, Principal Fang provided guidance from a psychological support perspective on how parents can effectively communicate with their children, timely alleviate emotions, and help children build confidence through specific affirmations and tolerance of mistakes. He also urged parents to pay attention to their children's learning environment and living conditions, reasonably arrange diet and daily routines, and provide a solid support for the final push towards the entrance examination.
Subsequently, each class held its own parent meeting, where the homeroom teachers and subject teachers explained the teaching arrangements and specific requirements for the new semester in detail, based on the academic situation of the class, and provided practical suggestions on how parents can cooperate in supervising learning and effectively monitor at home.
Previously, the ninth-grade team also organized a teacher preparation meeting, where grade director Lu Yumei and academic vice principal Zhang Shun deployed the teaching goals and management measures for the ninth grade, emphasizing subject collaboration, enhancing strengths and addressing weaknesses, and researching past exam questions to clarify the direction for review and preparation.
Through this parent meeting, parents gained a clearer understanding of the critical nature of the ninth-grade stage, enhancing their confidence and determination to work hand in hand with the school to support student growth, truly achieving a good start for home-school collaboration in preparing for the entrance examination.
